CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) AND FIRST AID

Chaffey Adult School, along with the American Red Cross, offers CPR Adult/Child/Infant and First Aid for the lay responder. These courses provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives. The content and activities will help students identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions, recognize emergencies, and make appropriate decisions for what care to give. These courses are equal to the American Red Cross community CPR course. Please register here.

Each course is $50 and includes completion card. 

Courses are held at Chaffey Adult School, 1802 E. Seventh Street in Ontario.  Class sessions are held on Mondays in Room N-3 at the following times:

  • CPR             4:00 - 8:30 pm
  • First Aid       4:00 - 8:00 pm

 

*CPR (Adult/Child/Infant) -Choose one date
August 19, 2024,   October 14, 2024,  January 27, 2025,    April 7, 2025

Standard First Aid (all ages)- Choose one date
August 26, 2024   October 21, 2024,  February 3, 2025,  April 14, 2025

 

*These classes meet the requirements for the California Teaching Credential.

INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE TEST PREPARATION/ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT

In accordance with the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, and for those lacking the necessary course or degree requirements, this program assists individuals interested in employment as an "Instructional Aide" or other paraprofessional with local school districts. The cost of the exam is $20.00 and includes 2 hours each of math and English skills review prior to testing. The study sessions are scheduled throughout the semester from 5:00 - 9:00 pm and the exam is scheduled from 6:00-9:00 pm at the adult school's 7th street campus.
